43 days and counting...

Since I’m ridiculous and it’s September I’m starting to think about what to do this year for Connor’s Halloween costume. Last year he was Tigger and it was kill me now cute. I mean really cute. He was only 7 months old, but I really think he understood that Bouncing and Pouncing is what Tiggers do Best.

Anyway, I figure I’ve probably only got one, maybe two more Halloweens where I can dress him in whatever I want before he decides he wants to be a lame Transformer or Power Ranger or whatever is cool to kids. I don’t know. Clearly, I’m not cool to kids. Once we have kid #2 we can start going with the embarassing duo costumes. Ah, what a great reason to have another child.

So, this year I think he’s going as a garden gnome. Like the Travelocity variety. Little Red pants, Blue shirt, hat, etc. Maybe even a little beard if I can somehow work it so that he doesn’t strangle himself with it within the first 45 seconds. I find this hilarious. A few weeks ago we were playing in our yard and connor was obsessed with this little gnome that my dad gave us as a joke (because I hate them) and I thought, hmmm my kid is tiny and kinda looks like a garden gnome. Done and done.

So, i'm thinking kinda like this guy...

So, now I’m just hoping people will actually know what he is. I’m thinking props are the best way to accomplish this…thoughts? Ideas?

OH YES! Do it do it do it, then send me pictures and I'll hang them up. ooooh a little knomb. Good luck with the beard, I think it's a key part of the costume, but if he dosn't wear it, I think people will still know what he is. Just as long as he wears the hat. NO hat and No beard... not so sure.
